Nissan Safety Shield 360
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 is a suite of advanced driver assistance and safety technologies that come standard on modern Nissan vehicles. This suite consists of six safety technologies that work together to keep you (and your passengers) safe on the road.
These six technologies are:
- Blind Spot Warning
- Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
- Rear Cross Traffic Alert
- Rear Automatic Braking
- High Beam Assist
- Lane Departure Warning

Safety Shield 360 - Blind Spot Warning
Firstly, keep watch for vehicles hiding in your blind spot with the Safety Shield 360 Blind Spot Warning! This alert will appear on your car mirror if you try to change lanes while another vehicle is there.

Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection
Secondly, Nissan Safety Shield 360 monitors the speed and distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you, and can offer safety actions and suggestions. These include letting you know if you need to slow down, engaging the brakes to avoid a collision, or stopping completely if a pedestrian is detected!
Safety Shield 360 - Rear Cross Traffic Alert
Have you ever backed out of a parking spot and realized you had a close call with another driver, a pedestrian or perhaps, even a shopping cart? Back out with confidence with the Rear Cross Traffic Alert. This alert works in conjunction with your rear-view camera and will alert you when something else is in the way.

Rear Automatic Braking
While the Intelligent Emergency Braking keeps you safe while driving, you can also protect your bumper with Rear Automatic Braking. Your vehicle will detect stationary objects behind you that you may not see when backing up. The Safety Shield 360 can automatically apply the brakes to lessen the impact or help you avoid a rear collision!
Safety Shield 360 - High Beam Assist
This High-Beam Assist feature allows your vehicle to automatically deactivate its high beams if it detects another vehicle approaching ahead. After you’ve passed the vehicle, the system can automatically reactivate your high beams. This is especially handy for long drives at night.
Lane Departure Warning
This warning alert can signal you when you change lanes without signalling, allowing you to course-correct while driving. This intelligent safety feature can also keep tired drivers safer on long drives.

Nissan ProPILOT Assist
This autonomous driver technology assists drivers by combining Nissan’s Intelligent Cruise Control and Steering Assist technologies. This driving aid system includes the stop-and-hold function, making both long AND short drives easier. This function can bring the vehicle to a stop, keep it in place, and then bring you back up to speed once traffic begins moving again.
Intelligent Cruise Control
Firstly, our Intelligent Cruise Control monitors traffic conditions and adjusts your speed based on road conditions. Maintain your speed on highways and stay ahead of the curve with Nissan’s advanced driving technologies.

Steering Assist & Lane Departure
Secondly, these assistance technologies keep you centred in your lane and alert you when you begin to drift. In addition to the Lane Departure warning alert from the Safety Shield 360 system, this steering assist can take action to keep you in your lane.
